Curve ball veggie this week is fennel! If you haven’t had it before, it’s certainly with a try. The bulb is the main part that people eat, usually roasted or shaved thin and added to salads. Stalks are edible but should be cut very thin. I love them pickled. Fronds can be chopped and used as a fresh herb the same ways you would use dill.

Cosmic Wheel Creamery Cheese Shares.
Aquilla is our Jack style cheese. Good melted on a burger or cubed up and added to a salad. And I’ve included our garlic dill quark which is one of our most love cheeses at farmers market. It’s great on a veggie sandwich with lettuce and cucumbers.

On the Farm.
We had a great time at the Eat Local Farm Tour! Thanks to all who came out!
Please remember to let us know if you would like to schedule a vacation hold! One weird thing that is going on at the farm is that our broccoli seems really confused! We have tons of beautiful broccoli plants out there, but none have made heads, yet! We usually have broccoli before summer crops like cucumbers, but this year cucumbers first! We think there may be broccoli next week though. And hopefully cauliflower, too.
