FARM STORE will reopen in May!

order from our online store during the winter.

After 14 years, in 2024 we will not be delivering veggie CSA boxes. We are so grateful to everyone who has joined us over the years and allowed us to be your farmers!

If you are looking for a new CSA, check out this blog post with suggestions that include farms that we will be partnering with to provide Cosmic Wheel Creamery Cheese Shares.

Turnip Rock Farm &
Cosmic Wheel Creamery

Organic Vegetables
We grow Organic Vegetables using intensive, low-till methods. Our growing practices aim to develop our soil and provide flavorful, nutrient dense vegetables. 2023 was our last season offering a CSA share. Our veggies are now sold through wholesale markets and available through at our farm store, at St. Croix Falls Farmers Market, and through our online farm stand.

Cosmic Wheel Creamery Farmstead Cheese
We added our creamery in 2015. Our small herd of 100% grass-fed cows make beautiful milk that we transform into small batch artisan cheeses. We make raw-milk aged cheeses as well as fresh favorites like cheese curds and an herbed spreadable cheese. You can find Cosmic Wheel Creamery cheese at Mill City Farmers Market, St Croix Falls Farmers Market, and at select retail stores. And of course at the Turnip Rock Farm store, and online farm stand.

Responsibly Raised Meats
We raise 100% grass-fed beef and pastured, whey-fed pork. All meat is processed in a USDA inspected facility and sold frozen by the cut at St. Croix Falls and Osceola Farmers Markets, and through our online farm store. Our livestock are the primary source of fertility to our farm and we are grateful for and humbled by all that they provide.

what is a whole farm ecosystem?

Everything on our farm has purpose. Every animal, insect, fungi, bacteria and human is linked in a web of interdependence. On our farm nothing goes to waste and we try to make each aspect of our farm compliment and support every other aspect.
Eating can be a reminder that we rely on the earth to sustain us. Our food decisions will continue to change our landscape and our community.  With this in mind, we go about farming and we invite you to join us in eating.  As an eater, we (your farmers) are linked to you not just by economic necessity but also by values and a vision of a vibrant and healthy future.
